Information Technology (IT) is an internal service department that serves the information technology needs of the City's departments, including the Water Department. IT is responsible for enterprise-wide communication and information technology services.
: Provides technology services for enterprise and departmental applications, and the public and internal websites, to non-public safety City departments, with the goal of meeting their technology requirements for providing municipal services to the community.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
: Manages the computer technology that combines geographic data and other types of information to generate visual maps and reports. Provides interactive maps for the City, EDA, and IVDA as well as an interactive parcel selector map.
: Develops and maintains a dependable network infrastructure for the City in order to provide a solid foundation for application software and automated technologies.
Office Automation (OA)
: Administers the City, Water Department and Public Safety email systems, including anti-virus programs and file servers.
: Maintains and repairs all City desktop equipment and software and operates the City's computer help desk.
Public Safety Systems
: Provides technology support to Police and Fire Departments. Manages and maintains all public safety projects, including Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), radios, Mobile Data Computers (MDCs), desktop computers, laptops and other related public safety gear.
: Provides print shop and mail services to City departments.
: Provides services for telephones and wireless devices to City departments and facilities.
