Users will need to install free software. To read eBooks, users will need Adobe® Digital Editions. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod®, Sony® Reader™, and many others. Patrons may check out 3 titles at a time. Lending period is 14 days - though may be returned early. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. While there aren't renewals, item may be checked out again if there aren't holds on it. There are no late fees! Titles may not be downloaded within library except to laptops or wireless mobile devices.
 
General Reference Center (Full Text Index) A general interest database that integrates a variety of sources in one easy-to-use interface. Use General Reference Center to find articles from magazines, reference books, and newspapers, many with full-text and images. Find articles on current events, popular culture, the arts and sciences, sports, hobbies, and more. This database is accessible from the library or from home for San Bernardino Public Library cardholders. 
Full-text articles may be translated into various languages including Spanish.

This database willprompt you to set-up a user name and password. You must keep this informationto log in to use the tests. LearningExpress Library's expanding listof eBooks has now grown to almost 200 career guides and study aides.

New! Job Scout is a user-led Internet skills platform built in cooperation with the California State Library. With JobScout, users will gain the Internet skills necessary to look for a job in today's market.  When a user has completed the lessons on the JobScout platform, he or she will have a comprehensive tool kit for finding work online. JobScout utilizes social gaming methods to reinforce the information taught on the site. Twenty-five unique lessons teach users basic Internet skills that contribute to a successful online job search. Lessons cover topics such as: How to Use a Web Browser; How to Use a Search Engine; Using Gmail; Communicating Effectively Online; Conducting an Effective Job Search Online; Privacy and Security Basics and How to Use Social Media Effectively.
