Opens Memorial Day Weekend
The Swim Center will be open for recreational swim (WEEKENDS ONLY),
beginning Memorial Day weekend, May 25-27 and
each weekend through June 9.

Beginning June 10 the pool will be open daily.

Pool Hours / Recreation Swim Schedule:

Saturday and Sunday Monday - Friday
Session 1: 11:00 am to 1:30 pm Session 1: 12:00 noon - 2:30 pm
Session 2:   2:00 pm to 4:30 pm Session 2:   3:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Session 3:   5:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Entrance Fees:  Ages 2 - 7            $1.00 each.

Swimwear guidelines:
  • Health Regulations require swim suits be worn upon entry into water
  • No cutoff shorts
  • No shorts below the knee
  • No diapers of any kind allowed in the main pool. Swim diapers are required in the wading pool and rain forest for non-toilet trained youth.
  • No gang attire
  • Women must wear swim apparel (please, no undergarments only)

Swim Lessons - (Held at Jerry Lewis Swim Center Only)

Learn to swim pre-school & school-age programs*

Class: Monday - Thursday (2 week sessions)

Times: 6:00 - 6:45 pm

Fee: $40 resident (per 2 week session) / $44 non resident (per 2 week session)

Session 1: June 10 - June 20

Session 2: June 24 - July 5 (No Class July 4, Make-up July 5)

Session 3: July 8 - July 18

Session 4: July 22 - August 1

Session 5: August 5 - August 15

*For session #1, registration is taken at the Parks & Recreation main office, located at 201 North E Street, Suite 301 (3rd Floor).
*For sessions #2 -#5, registration is taken at the Jerry Lewis Family Swim Center.

Fish: For children ages 3 to 5 with no previous pool experience. Emphasis is on water adjustment and pool safety.

Starfish: Children ages 3 to 5 with previous pool experience. Emphasis is on body positioning, kicking and breathing skills.

Shark: Children ages 3 to 5 with experience and advanced skills. Emphasis is on beginning stroke work, front crawl, back crawl, and elementary backstroke.

Beginner: Entry-level class for children ages 6 and up. Emphasis is on elementary aquatic skills, good attitudes and safe practices around the water.

Advanced Beginner: For children ages 6 and up who have completed or demonstrated beginner skills. Emphasis is on front glide, rotary breathing, and beginning stroke work.

Intermediate: These classes are for children ages 6 and up who have completed or demonstrated Level II skills. Emphasis is on endurance in familiar strokes, front crawl, back crawl, and introduction to breaststroke and sidestroke.

Advanced: For children ages 6 and up who have completed or demonstrated Level III skills. Emphasis is on increased endurance in familiar strokes, front crawl, breaststroke, butterfly, and endurance.

Recreational swimming will be available at all other pool sites, daily, Monday through Saturday, beginning June 10.

Session 1:  1:00 to 3:00pm

Private Swim Parties

Need to celebrate a graduation, family gathering, end of season Little League party, church or business meeting at a pool location on a weekday?  Reserve Now!

Private party reservations are now available at the Jerry Lewis Family Swim Center.  

Reservations are available all weekdays from May 20 - June 9, 2013 only.  For more information and availability contact us at (909) 384-5132.   

Rental Fees:

Jerry Lewis Family Swim Center, $92.00 First Hour, $46.00 each additional hour

All other Pools: $25.00 Per Hour

Required:  $11.00 per hour per lifeguard for all pools :
   1-150 Persons/6 Lifeguards
151-200 Persons/7 Lifeguards
201-250 Persons/8 Lifeguards

*A refundable deposit is required.

Family Swim Night

Family Night (C.I.D. Pool) - Open swim for all families.  Persons with disabilities and their families are especially welcome.  No Charge.

Twinges in the Hinges
- Adults and Seniors

For adults with physical disabilities, senior citizens, their friends, and for adults without disabilities.  Gentle stretching, aquatic exercise, and socialization.

Day & Time: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday
Group Exercise - 2:45 - 5:00 pm

Day & Time: Wednesday & Friday
Individual Exercise - 12:00 - 1:45 pm

Suggested Donation:  $15.00 per month for residents of City of San Bernardino ($16.50 non-residents)

Water Babies

A program of water adjustment and beginning swim skills for infants ages 6 months to 3 years. Each child must be accompanied by a parent.  Children with disabilities and children without disabilities are encouraged to participate. 

There are three two-week sessions, starting the last week in June and continuing through the end of July.

Fee: $40 resident (per 2 week session) / $44.00 non-resident (per 2 week session)
