The City of San Bernardino is home to thirty-three parks that span approximately five hundred acres of open space and developed land. The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department develops, manages and maintains programs at these parks. People of all ages in the community enjoy year-round events hosted at the parks Community Centers. Some popular annual events include Operation Splash, Inland Empire Senior Games, The Veteran’s Day Parade, Winter Wonderland and more. The department encourages and supports active living through their youth and adult sports programs. There are summer programs for the children and many senior services programs as well.
