| Looking for a great place to host your special occasion or event? Try the Galaxy Grand Ballroom. Located at the old Norton Air Force Base, the Galaxy Grand Ballroom can accommodate almost any event with seating for up to 280 people. Types of Events  -

Business Events Rental Fees -
$700, minimum 5 hours -or- for smaller events, $150 per hour, 2-hour minimum. -
$50 per hour for each additional hour. -
$200 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date. -
$500 refundable damage bond. -
$50 Alcohol permit up to 150 people. -
$100 Alcohol permit for 150 and over. -
Liability insurance (required). -
Security guards (3 for wedding reception, 4 for quinceañeras required). -
An additional 10% non-resident fee is added to all rentals. Times of the Event Events can go no later than 1:00 a.m. If renters or any of their guests fail to depart the building on time you may be charged a maximum of $100 for time running over. Security guards will start shutting down party 1 hour prior to party closing to clean up. Facility Viewing The facility may be viewed, by appointment only, on Tuesdays between 5:15 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. Damage Bond Damage bonds may be paid by cash, cashier's check or money orders made payable to the City of San Bernardino. (No personal checks) Cashier's checks/money orders will be returned two (2) business days after the event if no damage has occurred. If damage is done to the ballroom, renter will be contacted and given the option of paying for the damages separately or deducting charges from the damage bond. Renter has the right to appeal all charges. Damage bonds are due 10 days before event. Security Guards It is the renter's responsibility to secure the required number of security guards for their event. Only Licensed/Bonded Security Guard Companies will be allowed to work at the events. Proof that you have obtained proper coverage is 60 days before event. We will not accept individuals holding current security guard cards. Liability Insurance Renter is required to supply this Department with a Certificate of Liability Insurance adding the City of San Bernardino as additional insured. Certificate is due 60 days prior to event. Insurance may be obtained through the City Risk Management Department (909) 384-5308. Alcohol Permit A permit is required for any event that will be serving alcohol. This permit allows alcohol to be served, not sold. Fee for permit is based on estimated attendance, $50 up to 150 people, $100 for 150 people and up. Decorating of Facility Renter will be allowed, at no additional cost, a total of 3-1/2 hours to decorate for the event. Renter may decorate on the Friday prior to event between the hours of 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. If additional time is required on day of event, request must be received 60 days in advance, additional charges will apply. City reserves the right to cancel Friday decoration time 30 days prior to event.
