 | On Wednesday, July 16, 2008, as part of an annual budget hearing, the City Council approved the consolidation of the Patrol Division down from five separate districts to four districts. The four new districts were divided into two separate patrol divisions. Each division will be commanded by a Police Captain. To match the Police Department's plans for splitting radio frequencies, the four districts were divided into Northern Division and Southern Division. Northern Division will host the Northwest District and the Northeast District. The Southern Division will include the Southwest District and the Southeast District.
