SAN BERNARDINO, CA (FEBRUARY 21ST, 2018) - The San Bernardino City Library Foundation, Inc. has donated $12,000 to enable the San Bernardino Public Library (SBPL) to add new titles, including best sellers from popular authors, to its Overdrive eBook and eAudiobook collection.
“We are very grateful to the Library Foundation for fulfilling its mission of funding extraordinary projects to enrich our patrons’ library experience by supplementing our city budget,” said SBPL Director Ed Erjavek. “I’d encourage the public to try our eBooks and eAudiobooks, if they aren’t already enjoying them.”
The San Bernardino City Library Foundation sponsors SBPL’s Overdrive collection, including paying for its annual subscription. The donation will fund purchasing new materials in eBook and eAudiobook formats over the next several months.
“The Foundation is very generous to make a significant expenditure to provide this resource to our patrons that we likely wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford,” said Erjavek. “It is a great example of volunteers stepping up for the benefit of the city’s residents.”
