The San Bernardino Public Library will be presenting “Shades of Blues in America”, a history of American blues music through song and story, on Saturday, October 20, 2018. This free program will take place at 1 p.m. in the Bing Wong Auditorium at the Feldheym Central Library, 555 W. 6th Street.
The history of American blues comes to life in this performance by music historian and acclaimed guitarist Joey Leone and his band. Featuring songs, historical facts, and personal stories from Joey from his days playing and touring with blues legends like Etta James, Otis Rush, Wilson Pickett, Chubby Checker, The Coasters, and even Bruce Willis! Leone combines his years of experience as a touring musician with his love of the blues in this one-of-a-kind show.
Joey Leone was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and migrated to Vermont over 20 years ago. During this time, Joey has created a name and reputation in the music industry that is based on his insane work ethic and guitar mastery. In a typical year, he plays in front of well over one million people. Joey has performed in 22 countries and 49 states.
