Intersection Traffic Enforcement June 24, 2010 Traffic Sergeant Brett Birnbaum announced that the San Bernardino Police Department conducted Intersection Traffic Enforcement on Wednesday, 6/24/10 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on, in the area of the I215 from Orange Show Road to Highland Ave. This area has been impacted by recent and ongoing freeway construction.
During the Intersection Traffic Enforcement 62 vehicles were stopped, 59 people were issued citations for various violations, 5 people were issued citations for driving on a suspended or revoked license, 6 citations were issued to drivers who never had a license, 9 vehicles were impounded. Of those, 5 were impounded for 30 days.
This program was part of San Bernardino Police Departments ongoing efforts to reduce the number of persons killed and injured in traffic collisions.
Funding for this operation is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. |
