Tip-A-Cop is a tradition in the Inland Empire intended to raise money for Special Olympics of Southern California (a non-profit charity). Officers will work alongside the restaurant's service staff for extra tips that are given to the Special Olympics. This important charity event has generated over $100,000.00 to support local training and competition opportunies for Special Olympics athletes. Dontations will provide year-around sports training and competitive opportunities for the thousands of athletes who live, train, and complete in Southern California and the Inland Empire
Join us on October 18, 2007 between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM at Applebees Restaurant at 4070 East Highland Avenue in San Bernardino.
Our Applebee's event is our next challenge. This is a newly developed corporate sponsorship by Applebee's that is similar to the Claim Jumper's event. It provides the local Special Olympics program with the help of law enforcement with another opportunity to raise much needed funds. Especially for the Special Olympics Greater San Bernardino Area program and athletes, this tip-a-cop will support their efforts to expand their program from just 3 sports currently to add basketball and track which is one their goals for 2007. Special Olympic won't be able to do this without additional funds.
