Point in Time Count 2025 Volunteers Needed

The PITC is a critical survey to secure grant funding, as well as other resources for local communities to assist individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Volunteers Will:

Attend a virtual training, available through the SBCHP website 
• Be deployed in teams to survey individuals using the Survey 123 mobile application, a smart phone is required
• Hand-out backpacks filled with essential items


Help count the unsheltered and make a difference on Thursday, January 23, 2025

Homekey – San Bernardino with Lutheran Social Services of Southern California (LSSSC)

In collaboration with Lutheran Social Services of Southern California (LSSSC), the City has embarked on a State of California HomeKey Project to establish the San Bernardino Community Wellness Campus—a non-congregate interim housing facility comprising 150 beds.

Navigation Center

The City is constructing a Navigation center at the former "School of Hope" campus to provide low barrier, non- congregate, interim housing to help address the root causes of homelessness.

Street Outreach Team

The City now has a special team under the police station, we are excited to now have C.O.A.S.T. a crisis intervention  team. Their goal is to intercept calls for service before they go to patrol and/or support patrol on mental health calls.
