This section of the Crime Statistics webpage contains summaries of our Part-1 crimes. These are the categories of crime outlined in the original Uniform Crime Reporting Act of 1929. We report these crimes once a month to the California Department of Justice. The data is then forwarded to the FBI for inclusion in their annual nationwide reports.
