SHELTER SERVICES

  1. The shelter is open to visitors between the hours of 11:00am to 4:00pm, Tuesday-Saturday. The shelter will accommodate visitors for adoptions, redemptions and licensing on a first come, first served basis.

  2. We provide $25 microchipping services for our residents during business hours.

  3. We are not accepting healthy stray cats at this time, but we will continue to accept sick or injured stray cats, along with abandoned underage kittens. If you need assistance with cats in your neighborhood, please contact the rescue groups listed on the graphic below.

  4. We are not accepting owner surrendered dogs at the moment due to an increase in dogs at the shelter. Please contact the Lange Foundation at (909) 600-0738 or [email protected] - they may be able to assist you with your pet.

  5. We will accept all stray dogs from the City of San Bernardino, Loma Linda, and Grand Terrace, but ask that residents check with their neighbors to see if they've lost their pet prior to contacting us or bringing the pet to the shelter. Most lost pets are only about a mile away from their home. Studies show that pets are more likely to be reunited with their owners when they stay in the communities where they were found.  Social media tools like Facebook, NextDoor and applications like Finding Rover are free to use and can help you get the dog home quickly without a trip to the shelter.
