City of SB Libraries Celebrating “Read Across America Day”

While Wednesday, March 2 is the official date for “Read Across America Day” all four city libraries will be celebrating on both Wednesday March 2 and Thursday March 3.

  • Feldheym will be hosting its regular story time Thursday at 10:30 a.m. along with a “Cat in the Hat” craft kit that also commemorates Dr. Seuss on his birthday available for patron pick-up the week of Feb. 28.
  • Rowe will be hosting its regular story time featuring “A Perfectly Messed-Up Story by Patrick McDonnell Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with songs and a craft.
  • Inghram will be having a Dr. Seuss-themed story time and a craft Wednesday at noon.
  • Villaseñor will be having a Dr. Seuss-themed story and a craft Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Current hours of operation at Feldheym Central Library (555 W. Sixth St.,) Inghram (1505 W. Highland Ave.,) Rowe (108 E. Marshall Blvd.,) and Villaseñor (525 N. Mt. Vernon Ave.) are:

Monday & Tuesday: Noon to 8 p.m.

Wednesday & Thursdays: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Friday: Closed.

Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Face coverings are not required for those patrons who are vaccinated. Face coverings are required for the unvaccinated. 

Programs and activities such as story time, crafts, and in-person Live Homework after school for students K - 8 are scheduled to resume Monday Feb. 28.
