Our department has partnered with San Bernardino City Unified School District to offer additional after school programming "Art Explorers" at 3 of our community centers.
About Expanded Learning:
The Expanded Learning (EXL) Programs are offered to kindergarten through twelfth grade students and operates daily from the dismissal bell to 6:00 pm.
The vision of Expanded Learning is to provide exemplary before and after school experiences that will enhance each student's academic, social, emotional and physical development. Programs include a daily snack, homework time, and academic/recreational/enrichment activities.
Goals:
- Promote academic achievement in curricular areas.
- Increase daily student attendance rates.
- Reduce student suspension and expulsion rates.
- Develop both positive student behavior and cooperative social skills.
