with Events All Through December

San Bernardino residents can celebrate the holiday season with parades, events, and activities throughout the month of December taking place at parks, libraries, community centers, senior centers, and downtown. For more information, call (909) 384-7272.

Here is a partial list:

December 1 - 20: Miracle on Court Street 349 North E Street - The Court Street Square has been transformed into a Christmas Village complete with nightly visits by Santa and free photo opportunities; a falling snow nightly at 7:00 pm; holiday themed photo booths; Comet's Cafe featuring hot cocoa, coffee, and snacks; ice skating; arts & crafts; and letter writing to Santa. Hours: Monday-Friday 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Saturdays 12:00 - 8:00 pm, Sundays 12:00 - 6:00 pm. (There is a $5 per 30 minutes cost to ice skate which includes skate rental)

December 5-8 - Ho Ho Parade - Citywide - 6:00 - 8:00 pm - Part holiday celebration, part car show, part parade, and a whole lot of fun! San Bernardino's Ho Ho Parade returns this week for four nights, December 5-8 throughout the city. Each night, the parade travels a different route. This year marks the 10th year for the parade, which is organized by San Bernardino neighborhood groups, faith-based groups, and community members. December 5,6, & 12 - Santa and Mrs. Claus Visit the Library - Various Locations - The first family of December, otherwise known as Santa and Mrs. Claus, will be stopping by each of San Bernardino's four libraries to visit with children and help ring in the holiday season with Christmas Carols, stories and photos. Each visit is expected to last about an hour.

Vernon Monday, December 5th, 5:00 pm: Feldheym Central Library, 555 West 6th Street Tuesday, December 6th, 5:00 pm: Inghram Branch Library,1505 West Highland Avenue Monday, December 12th, 5:00pm: Rowe Branch Library, 108 East Marshall Boulevard

December 6 - Ornament Decorating - Rowe Branch Library (108 E. Marshall Avenue) - 5:00 pm - Free. Open to all ages. Everyone is welcome and all supplies will be provided.

December 7 - Letter Writing to Santa - Rowe Branch Library (108 E. Marshall Avenue) - 4:00 pm - Kids can decorate their own ugly sweater vest. Vest and decorations are provided. There is no cost to participate, but supplies are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

December 10 - Gift Wrapping Party - Feldheym Central Library (555 W. 6th Street) - 3:30 - 5:30 pm - Free. Open to all ages. Everyone is welcome and all supplies will be provided.

December 14 - Christmas Cookie Decorating - Inghram Branch Library (1505 W. Highland Avenue) - 4:00 - 5:00 pm - Free. Come and frost a Christmas Cookie of your choice. There will be different toppings to choose from. Please RSVP by December 13. Limited to the first 30 RSVP's. to RSVP, email [email protected] with your name and number of attendees.

December 17 - Santa's Send Off Featuring a reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas - Court Street Square - 349 North E Street - 5:00 - 9:00 pm - Free. In addition to the regular holiday festivities at Mircle on Court Street (see above), guests will send Santa off to prepare for his big night with readings of the classic, "Twas the Night Before Christmas."

December 21 - Ugly Sweater Vest Decorating - Rowe Branch Library (108 E. Marshall Avenue) - 4:00 pm - Kids can decorate their own ugly sweater vest. Vest and decorations are provided. There is no cost to participate, but supplies are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

December 7 - Christmas Carol Singing - Perris Hill Senior Center (780 E. 21st Street) at 10:00 am and at the Fifth Street Senior Center (600 W. 5th Street) at 1:00 pm

December 20 - Christmas Cookie Exchange - Fifth Street Senior Center (600 W. 5th Street) at 10:00 am and at the Perris Hill Senior Center (780 E. 21st Street) at 1:00 pm

December 21 - A Royal Christmas Program - Perris Hill Senior Center (780 E. 21st Street) at 9:30 am

December 22 - Jingle Bell Christmas Program - Fifth Street Senior Center (600 W. 5th Street) at 9:30 am

 San Bernardino Unified Events

Students from across San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) will be singing, dancing, acting, and playing festive music leading up to the winter holidays. The public is invited to attend, and most performances are free.
